Emerald antic, image: www.izumrudy.comThe Russian company Izumrudy.com has made a gift to would-be Miss Atom-2010 beauty contest winners by having established an additional price – certified Columbian emeralds. The company has been offering its products in the Russian market for five years already. The highest quality of Izumrudy.com's product is owing to the fact that company’s officials themselves screen out emeralds at deposits in Columbia, ship them to Russia and sell here. All stones supplied are subject to certification in a Russian gem laboratory, as per the Russian legislation.

Izumrudy.com's PR manager Maria Kislyakova reminded that the Europe’s largest emerald and beryllium deposit Malyshevskoye in the Urals has been in jurisdiction of the former Ministry of medium Machine Engineering of the USSR since the mid-1950’s. That time, key products were emerald-containing and beryllium-containing ores. Since the mid-1960’s, Malyshevskoye Ore Mining Department started producing tantalum and niobium, as well as mastered uranium mining by underground leaching.

“In our company we thought that such a linkage is somewhat symbolic and giving Columbian emeralds to Miss Atom-2010 winners will be a sort of shaking hands across the Atlantic Ocean,” Kislyakova said. Miss Atom-2010 contest is held from March 26 till April 30. The contest organizer is Nuclear.Ru web-portal. The partners include Atompromresursy Group of Companies, Dutch Keune Haircosmetics. Media partners are Interfax News Portal, Vestnik Atomproma magazine, Atompressa newspaper, Amsterdam Luxury Magazine and SuperJob web-portal.
