Miss Atom-2009 started on the contest website. The voting will be till March 5. The day before was the deadline for submission of questionnaires and the preceded day had been rather busy, though it has become a good tradition, anyway. Still, this time it was something special – more than 100 contestants hopped in just within the last week. This year 350 girls from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Lithuania decided to give it a try at Miss Atom-2009, and this is a new record.
“We are happy with the contest gaining popularity,” noted Ilya Platonov, Nuclear.Ru general manager. “However, it is not the number of contestants that matters but the fact that
Miss Atom reaches its image-related targets. We closely monitor Russian and foreign media reports on the contest and note that perplexity or irony increasingly gives up leaving more space for respect towards nuclear and admiration of beauty of girls working for it,” he added.
Contest winners and special prize winners will be announced on March 6. The
Miss Atom-2009 Award Ceremony will take place in Moscow. The
