February 20 at 18H30M (Moscow time) the on-line voting was started on the
Miss Atom-2008 website to identify the winner and runners-up of the beauty contest. At the moment when registration was stopped the list included 345 CVs of girls that made the absolute record of the contest.
“We are pleased the interest to the contest is increasing from year to year, Nuclear.Ru project manager Ilya Platonov said. “We are sure the Miss Atom is a good opportunity for any contestant to promote herself, test her virtue and acquire more self-confidence. We wish success to all of them,” he said. This year, Miss Atom-2008 contest enjoys the company of Russian, Kazakhstani, Ukrainian, and Belarus girls.
The Miss Atom-2008 general sponsor is Atomenergoprom. The sponsors’ team also includes Kazatomprom, Atompromresursy, Leading Hotels of The World, Ltd. The contest is supported by Atomexpo. Information partners are RIA Novosti, Atompressa newspaper, Vestnik Atomproma magazine, and Atom-Innovation Center.
